Girls Lacrosse Overview

Travel lacrosse is a commitment that impacts the whole family.  Beyond the obvious financial investment, the tournament schedule can disrupt your family's summer plans and commuting for practices can be a drag.

So WHY play travel lacrosse?

If your athlete loves the game and is willing to dedicate the time and attention necessary to strengthen her skill set, opportunities await.  According to NCAA research, female student-athletes have it better than men, at least if they want to play sports in college. Participation is generally lower for women’s sports and there are more opportunities available to play in college.

Recruiters are seeking highly competitive athletes—even if your daughter is new to lacrosse and transferring her athletic skills over from basketball or soccer, there are still opportunities to play the game at the collegiate level.  Across all Divisions, there are 897 total NCAA lacrosse teams.  384 are men’s and 513 are women's.

Our Core Values:

Burning River Lacrosse will demand players embody the game by giving and receiving respect and understanding that character counts.  These young women recognize talent across the field during their season.  Burning River Girls will provide the opportunity for passionate, high-performing athletes to come together, celebrate their accomplishments (on any field), and work together to demonstrate competitive excellence.
