    2012 Winter Shooting Camp Refund Policy

    Burning River Lacrosse's camps have a limited refund policy. Camp fee refunds will only be granted on the basis of medical emergencies / conditions. All refund requests must be in writing and a letter / documentation from the doctor / hospital of record must accompany the request verifying the medical emergency / condition. Refund requests will be charged a $25 paperwork fee and be prorated based on when they are received.



    How Do I Register For The 2012 Winter Shooting Camp ?

    Registration is simply and easy once you have a Burning River Lacrosse account. If you have an account please login and then click on the 'REGISTRATIONS' button under the 'YOUR ACCOUNT' heading. Full directions are available by

    Note - US Lacrosse Waiver:

    All Participants Must have a US lacrosse number in order to participate. NO EXCEPTIONS !


    If you do not have a United States Lacrosse Number (not a University School Jersey #) you need to go to www.uslacrosse.org and get one. This is only for our clinics and travel team events. It is not needed for our leagues.



    2012 Winter Shooting Camp Mission

    Our camps are focused on the goal of improving the camper’s fundamental shooting skills.  Our camps are not team camps but skills camps where the vast majority of time is spent teaching techniques and fundamentals in individual or small group sessions.



    Who Can Attend The 2012 Winter Shooting Camp?

    The camps are open to:

    1. High school and Middle school players looking to improve their shooting ability and make the step up to the next level. (High School and Middle School players attend separate camps)
    2. The first 24 players registering for each camp so as to ensure quality instruction and maximum participation

      NOTE: Everyone Must have a US lacrosse number in order to participate. NO EXCEPTIONS !


    2012 Winter Shooting Camp - Saturdays Feb 18 & Feb. 25, 2012

    Description: Burning River Lacrosse is running a series of 1 hour fundamental shooting camps.  The camps are for 9th-12th grade players (High School Camp) and 6th to 8th grade players (Middle School Camp) looking to improve their shooting ability and make the step up to the next level.

    During these camps we will review proper shooting form (time and space and on the run), how to improve power, how to improve accuracy, and how to dodge in order to get your hands free for your shot. The instruction will be done while conducting shooting drills so as to give all participants the maximum amount of reps possible.

    Enrollment
    To ensure quality instruction and maximum participation, the camp is limited to the first 25 players registering.

    Camp Dates and Times (3 separate camps)
    Session 1 February 18 from 2-3 pm - MIDDLE SCHOOL PLAYERS ONLY.

    Session 2
    February 18 from 4-5 pm - HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS ONLY.

    Session 3 February 25 from 10 -11 am -HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS ONLY.

    Schedules
    Complete schedules will be emailed out prior to each session. 

    Individual Cost
    The Camp costs $20. Note: A $25 processing fee will be assessed to any returned checks.

    Registration deadline
    No Deadline. Registration will be open until we are at capacity. We have had to turn players away in our last shooting camps, so if you have an interest register as soon as possible.

    Facilities
    The camp is being held at Cleveland 'Multiplex'/ “Church of the Word” building in Warrensville Heights.  The Complex is located at 18909 South Miles Parkway, Warrensville Heights, Ohio 44128.  Right off 480 at exit 25b.

    Coaches
    Burning River Lacrosse's directors / coaches are some of the area’s top college coaches, high school coaches, and college players (BR Alumni). Burning River's coaches are focused on the goal of improving a player’s fundamental stick skills.  We do this by spending the vast majority of our coaching time teaching techniques and fundamentals in individual or small group sessions.

    Pinnies/Uniforms
    If you have a BR lax pinnie please bring it so everyone matches. If you do not have a BR Lax pinnie, you are allowed to wear any pinnie you want as long as it is not one of our competitors.

    Equipment
    Each player must bring a full set of equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, athletic cup, mouth piece, and stick) to each session. Goalies must wear a throat guard.  NO EXCEPTIONS !

    Shoes
    The field is sportsturf.  Plan accordingly.

    Medical Insurance 
    Burning River does not provide medical insurance. All players must have their own medical insurance.

    US Lacrosse Waiver:

    All participants are requierd to have the following waivers



    Weather Policy

    We play in all weather. The lone exception is if the facility closes due to a citywide driving ban. Should the camp get cancelled due to weather we will do the best we can to work with the facilities manager to schedule a make up date.  However, please understand that that may not always be possible.  Should the camp be completely cancelled we will refund participant's registration fees.
