  • Burning River Players In College

    Burning River Lacrosse's travel teams have seen phenomenal success qualifying for nationals in each of the last six years and winning or reaching the championship game at numerous tournaments (see awards page for more detail).

    In addition, 134 of our travel team players have committed to, are playing for, or have played for 71 different college programs at the varsity level (D1, D2, D3, JUCO).

    • Alec Sulesky (RIT)- Scored 1 goal in a win over Union in the Quarterfinals of the Division III NCAA Tournament. He also scored 1 goal and tallied 1 assist in loss to Tufts in the Semi-Finals.


    Week of May 5 - May 11, 2014 (see as a PDF)

    • Scott Loy (Syracuse)- The Orange came up short against Bryant in the Opening Round of the NCAA Tournament. Congratulations to Scott on an outstanding career!

    • Mike Poe (Mercyhurst)- Picked up 1 GB in a loss to Tampa in the Opening Round of the Division II NCAA Tournament.

    • Bobby Perez (Endicott)- The Seagulls won their first round play-off game against Keene State. In the Second Round, they came up short against #6 Tufts 10-9.

    • Alec Sulesky (RIT)- Scored 1 goal in a win over Ithaca in the Second Round of the Division III NCAA Tournament. 

    • Stephen Petersilge (Colorado College)- Scored 1 goal in a loss to Amherst in the First Round of the Division III NCAA Tournament.

    • Brendan Gallagher (Emmanuel)- Picked up 2 GBs and had 1 CT in a loss to Tufts in the First Round of the Division III NCAA Tournament.


    Week of April 28 - May 4, 2014 (see as a PDF)

    • Vince Gravino (Canisius) - Tallied 1 assist in a loss to Siena in the MAAC Semifinals.

    • Austin Duncan (Dartmouth)- Picked up 2 GBs in a win over Holy Cross.

    • Josh Kuehn (Jacksonville)- Picked up 1 GB in a loss to High Point in the Atlantic Sun Semifinals.

    • Thomas Paras (Michigan)- Picked up 1 GB in a loss to Fairfield in the ECAC Semifinals.

    • Scott Loy (Syracuse) - Scored 1 goal and had 1 assist in a win over Colgate.

    • Adam Daroff (Babson) - Made 15 saves in a loss to Springfield in the NEWMAC Championship.

    • Stephen Petersilge (Colorado College)- Tallied 1 assist in a win over Whittier.

    • Bobby Perez (Endicott)- Scored 1 goal and picked up 1 GB in a win over Salve Regina.

    • Jonny Kovach (Endicott)- Had 1 CT in a win over Salve Regina. He also picked up 1 GB in a win over Western New England in the CCC Championship.

    • Hogan Harris (Mount Union)- Scored 1 goal and tallied 1 assist in loss to John Carroll in the OAC semifinals. 

    • Will Pilat (Roanoke)- Scored 2 goals in a loss to Hampden Sydney in the ODAC Semifinals.

    • Bryce Pasquariello (St. Vincent)- Scored 2 goals and had 3 assists in a win over Bethany. He also scored 1 goal and 1 assist in win over Thiel in the PAC Finals.

    • Vince Gravino (Canisius) - Scored 1 goal in a loss to Marist.

    • Thomas Paras (Michigan)- Scored 3 goals and 2 assists in a win over  Robert Morris.

    • Chris Kendall (Quinnipiac)- Had 1 CT in a loss to Yale. He also had 1 CT in a win over Air Force. 

    • Leo Horine (Quinnipiac)- Picked up 3 GBs in a loss to Yale. He also had 1 assist and 3 GBs in a win over Air Force. 

    • Scott Loy (Syracuse)- scored 1 goal in a win over Duke in the ACC Conf. Semi's. He also scored 1 goal in a loss to Notre Dame in the ACC championship game. 

    • Michael Poe (Mercyhurst)- Picked up 1 GB in a win over Roberts Wesleyan. 

    • Adam Daroff (Babson)- Made 8 saves (87%) in a win over MIT.

    • Kyle Weber (Bates)- Scored 1 goal and picked up 1 GB in a win loss to Colby.

    • Andrew Preiser (Swarthmore)- Tallied 3 assists and picked up 3 GBs in a win over Haverford. He also tallied another 3 assists and picked up 1 GB in a loss to Washington College.

    • Zach Schaffer (Swarthmore)- Picked up 3 GBs and had 1 CT in a loss to Washington College. 

    • Hogan Harris (Mount Union)- Scored 1 goal and had 2 assists in a win over BW.

    • Bryce Pasquariello (St. Vincent)- Scored 4 goals in a win over La Roche. He also scored 1 goal and had 1 assist in a win over Thiel.

    • Jordan Shoger (Wittenberg)- Scored 1 goal in a loss to Denison in the NCAC Tournament.

    • Brendan Gallagher (Emmanuel)- Picked up 3 GBs and had 3 CTs in a win over Johnson & Wales. Picked up another 3 GBs in a win over Norwich. In the GNAC Tournament Championship, he picked up 3 more GBs and had 1 CT in a win over Becker College.

    • Jordan Boreman (Berry)- Made 10 saves (50%) in a loss to Centre.

    • Aaron Blossey (Wittenberg) - Made 1 save (100%) in a win over DePauw.  He also made 7 saves (47%) in a loss to Ohio Wesleyan.

    • Creighton Stephens (Wittenberg) - Scored 1 goal and 1 assist (first college points) in a win over DePauw.

    • Nate Weltman (Wooster) - Scored 3 goals and had 1 assist in a win over Kenyon.  He also had 1 goal and 1 GB in a loss to Oberlin.

    • Aaron Blossey (Wittenberg) - Had his first career start in cage and made 2 saves (100%) in a win over Mount St. Josephs. Aaron made 2 more saves (100%) in a win over Hiram.

    • Jordan Shoger (Wittenberg) - Scored 2 goals in a win over Mount St. Josephs. He also scored 3 goals and had 3 assists in a win over Hiram. 

    • Sean Hohan (Wooster) - Picked up 6 GBs and had 2 CTs in a loss to Otterbein. Picked up 2 more GBs in a win over DePauw

    • Nate Weltman (Wooster) - Scored 2 goals, had 1 assist and picked up 5 GBs in a loss to Otterbein. He scored another 2 goals, had 1 assist and picked up 3 GBs in a win over DePauw. 

    • Seth Brown (Wooster) - Went 2-2 on face-offs in a win over DePauw.

    • Vince Gravino (Canisius College) – scored 4 goals in a big win over Albany.  He added 1goal and 1 assist in a loss to Sienna.

    • Chris Kendall (Quinnipiac) - Picked up 3 GB and won 2 of 3 faceoffs (including the one in OT) to help his team to an OT win over Detroit Mercy.

    • Leo Horine (Quinnipiac ) - Tallied one gb in an OT win over Detroit Mercy.

    • Thomas Paras (Michigan) – had 2 goals and 1 assist in a loss to Air Force.

    • David Joseph (Michigan) – had 2 assists in a loss to Air Force.

    • Dan Flake (Ohio State) – had 1 gb in a win over Jacksonville.

    • Chris Kendall (Quinnipiac) - Picked up one GB in a loss to Brown. Picked up two GBs in a win over Providence. Picked up 3 GBs and had 2 CTs in a loss to Hartford. Picked up 4 GBs in a win over Manhattan. Picked up 4 more GBs in a win over Marist.
