Travel Team Tournament Refund / Cancelation Policy
Playing Time Policy
We do not take players to tournaments so that they can sit or help with our finances. If you were selected for the team, you have talent and you need to showcase that talent. To that end, all players who attend a tournament play in the games. Game time is normally allocated in a fairly even manner with all players rotating in and out during the course of a game. The exception to this is in the last quarter of close games / games with a tough opponent at recruiting tournaments when we have to win to move on. Under those circumstances playing time will not be evenly distributed.
You are considered to be an ambassador for both Burning River Lacrosse (specifically) and Ohio lacrosse (in general). Therefore, all normal team travel rules are in effect concerning your behavior and actions and the resulting consequences (if you do not know what these rules are ask first). Please be aware of the following rule

2016 What To Bring (Dorms)
2016 Transportation / Directions - There Is A Charter Bus For This Tournament
To help insure the safety of all participants and limit the number of people driving separately, we have arranged for charter bus transportation to and from Delaware University(approximately 8.0 hours away). If you chose to take the bus you need to be aware of the following:
Specific Directions to the TOURNAMENT can be found HERE. Just enter your address / where you plan to leave.
2016 Meals - You Must Bring Money For Food As Most But Not All Meals Are Included
The tournament only provides meals on Saturday (all day) and Sunday (morning only).
All other meals are not built in to the trip. Therefore, the kids need to bring money to pay for their meals. We will try to do combined meals (pizza, etc) to hold costs down. Please plan accordingly.
Note: Please do not skip meals it will come back to haunt you during the games.
We will make arrangements with a professional videographer to video our games at this tournament. Each player will receive access to these videos. We have done this to help with your college recruiting since every college coach is going to ask you for a highlight tape to determine if you are someone they want to recruit. This way you have highlight tapes to send that:
The cost of these videos are included in the cost of the tournament.
Your play on the tapes
Everything you do (good or bad) at these games is on the DVDs. If you chase sticks on defense it is there. If you did not hustle after a GB it is there. If you caught a pass off your helmet it is there. The same holds true for all our opponents players. In addition, they do not get to make a decision as to whether or not these DVDs are going to be sent out to college coaches. All their good and bad plays are being sent to the college coaches whether they want the coaches to see it or not.
You need to remember this when you are playing this Summer. You never know who is taping a game or who is in the stands. You do not know where they are going to send the tape. Therefore always play to your full potential. More players than you can imagine are “discovered” by a coach watching a tape of someone else (I get these phone calls every year). On the other side more than a few players each year have coaches lose interest in them after watching a tape of them that someone else sent.
Take advantage of the first situation and make sure the 2nd never happens to you.
