  • Dates - Saturday, July 10 and Sunday July 11, 2021
  • Location - Cedar Lane Park (1100 Cedar Ln, Bel Air, MD 21015)
  • Tournament Information 
    • Event Website
    • Fields: grass and field turf, so bring cleats and your preference for turf shoes or cleats.
    • The tournament will provide an atmosphere convenient to both teams and college coaches.

2021 Waivers

  • All Players must complete the Summer Sizzle waiver - You can NOT play without the waiver.
    • The Waiver is completed online. The player will receive an email with the waiver to be completed. If you have not received this waiver please contact us ASAP

Tournament Information

Rules

  • Games will consist of 2 twenty minute running time halves with a 3 minute halftime.
  • Each team will receive one (1) 45 second timeout per game at which time the clock will stop.  If a team does not return to the field in a prompt manner after the timeout they will either lose possession of the ball or be assessed a delay of game penalty.
  • There will be no overtime in regulation games.
  • All penalties will be running time, unless it is in the final 2 minutes during start stop time. The penalty clock will begin when the official blows the whistle to restart play.
  • Substitutions will be on the fly only, except on a time serving penalty.  In that case the teams will have a quick horn to get EMO or EMD on the field.
  • There will be no stick checks unless requested by the opposing coach.  If the stick is found to be legal, the challenging team will be assessed a timeout.  If no timeouts remain, a delay of game technical foul will be assessed.  If the stick is not legal, the appropriate penalty will be assessed.  Sticks must meet either NCAA or NFHS standards.
  • No noise makers will be allowed at any field (horns, whistles, sirens, cowbells, etc.)  Offenders will be asked to leave the field.
  • Any player, fan or coach ejected from a game will be prohibited from competing in/coaching/watching his/her team's next game. If a player/coach/fan is ejected for a second time he/she will be disqualified from the tournament.
  • Fighting is an automatic ejection from the game, and will be determine by the officiating crew of that game
  • Forfeits will be considered a 4-1 victory for the team that is prepared to play.
  • Decisions on the field will be the final ruling.  No disputes will be heard after the game.
  • No shot clock will be in effect, Officials will issue a stalling warning if the winning team is stalling, the team must then keep it in the box. If they step out of the box, this will result in a turnover

The actual tournament format / schedule will be released in July. The general schedule is below.

  • Saturday July 10, 2021
    • 8:00 am - Check-in at tournament
    • 9:00 am - Game 1 Field 9
    • 12:00 pm - Game 2 Field 8
    • 4:00 am - Game 3 Field 6
  • Sunday July 11, 2021

    • 9:00 am - Game 4 Field 9
    • 12:00 pm - Game 5 Field 8

 

2021 Check In / Check Out (Tournament)

  • Check-in will be from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM on Saturday July 10, 2021.
  • Check-out will be after your last game on Sunday July 11, 2021.
    • Only the BR Tournament Director will check-in and check-out.
      • Players DO NOT check In / Out at the Tournament HQ
      • Players and parents should find the BR Staff Director.
      • Plan on meeting us at the fields 45 minutes before your first game.
  • We will email out specific instructions on where to meet as we get closer to the tournament

Lodging, Transportation & Meals

Lodging - (Parents and Players)

  • There are no dorms included in your fees. All players and parents have to find their own housing.
  • BR is not a travel agency - do not contact us about your hotel stay / booking.
  • The tournament sent me the following information that parents can book directly:
  • All Reservations need to be made by July 1, 2021.
  • Hotel No Show Policy: Failure to cancel or check in at the above hotel will result in a charge of your entire stay to be billed.

 

2021 What To Bring (Hotel and Fields)

  • For the room: toiletries.
  • For the field: game gear for five games; all equipment including but not limited to helmet, mouthpiece, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, sticks, cleats, turf shoes etc.
  • Water Bottles. Water will NOT be provided on every field, be sure to bring lots of water
  • Other: casual clothing for downtime & meals, etc.
  • Money: not too much, but enough for pizzas at night, drinks during the day, etc. from the camp store, which will be located on the fields.


2021 Transportation / Directions - There Is No Bus For This Tournament

  • Please note that there will be no team travel arrangements for this tournament. Therefore, players are responsible for their own transportation to and from the tournaments.
  • Any player needing a ride should contact coach Calleri immediately.  He will help arrange carpools.  Any player/parent willing to help out with carpooling should also contact coach Calleri so that he will know where we have room in cars.  Thank you for your understanding with this matter.

2021 Meals - You Must Bring Money For Food As Most But Not All Meals Are Included

  • The tournament DOES NOT provide any meals.
  • The hotels normally have breakfast for the players included in the cost.
  • All other meals are not built in to the trip.
  • Therefore, the kids need to bring money to pay for their meals.  Please plan accordingly.

Note: Please do not skip meals it will come back to haunt you during the games.
