Skills Training For Faceoffs w/ AMEO

2025 26 Winter Faceoff Training (Ameo) 1

Anthony Ameo is an Alum (2014-17) and Coach.  He played his high school lacrosse at St. Ignatius (2015-18) and his collegian lacrosse at The Ohio State University (2019-2021).

During his time playing in High School he received the following awards:

  • Midwest Under Armour team 2017, 18
  • 3x 1st Team All Midwest
  • 2x King of the X at Can Am
  • 2x Ohio Faceoff Specialist of the Year
  • 2x 1st Team All Ohio
  • 2x HS All American

He holds all the St. Ignatius school faceoff records, including going 17 and 4 in the state championship game in 2018.

Coach Ameo has been coaching with us for over 9 years and has been on the sideline for numerous (15+) tournament championships.

Information On The Faceoff Sessions

How To Register: 

 

Registration Opens:

  • October 18, 2025 for all True Players and Families.
  • October 24, 2025 for everyone else.

 

Levels:

  • Level 1 - 4th to 8th grade. Beginner to moderate knowledge. Draw techniques, hand and body placement/footwork, hand speed drills, faceoff defense, live drills, etc.
  • Level 2 - 8th to 10th grade. Medium experience. Intermediate draw play, footwork/body positioning, hand speed drills, countermoves, wing and exit strategy, draw strategy, faceoff defense, live drills, etc.
  • Level 3 - HS Varsity level players. Advanced draw techniques, countermoves, hand speed drills, exit strategy, advanced wing play, advanced draw strategy, faceoff defense, live drills, etc.

 

Pricing: 

  • Single Sessions - $44 per session.
  • All Session Pass - $400 for all 10 sessions (10% off)

 

Dates: (Monday)

  • November 3, 10, 17, 2025
  • December 1, 8, 15, 2025
  • January 5, 12, 19, 26, 2026

 

Times:

  • Level 1 and Level 2 training sessions - 6:00 PM
  • Level 3 training session - 7:00 PM

 

Location:

  • CAPS Fieldhouse - 6060 West Canal Road, Valley View, Oh 44125 (near 480 & 77)

 

Sample Session Plan:

  • FOGO - Attendance, Footwork Drills, Hand Speed Drills, 7 drills of standard to start, Focus 1 (e.g. def exits), live.
