BR Elite Skills Training (B.E.S.T) Winter Sessions

Our B.E.S.T. sessions one of our most popular offerings.  The weekly 1 hour individual skills sessions are offered in the Winter (November to February) and in the Summer (June to  early July).  The sessions are tailored to specific topics and areas that normally get limited coaching (faceoff, shooting & dodging, defense, and goalies). The sessions will be in small groups (10 players or less per coach for faceoff, shooting & dodging, defense, and 3 players or less per coach for goalies). The sessions are open to all area players and a first come, first served basis.

Pricing: 

  • All Session Pricing (1 location, 1 skill set) - $320 for players, $360 for goalies, $360 for faceoff.
  • Single Sessions - $40 for players, $45 for goalies, $45 for faceoff.

Who:

  • Everyone is welcome as long as they can pass and catch.  You do not have to be part of our travel teams to attend.

Levels:

  • Level 1 - 4th to 8th grade. Beginner to moderate knowledge.
  • Level 2 - 8th to 10th grade - Medium experience.
  • Level 3 - HS Varsity level players.

  • Monday (5:00 to 8:00 PM) at CAPS Fieldhouse - 6060 West Canal Road, Valley View, Oh 44125 (off of Rockside road near 480 & 77)

  • Tuesdays (5:00 to 9:00 PM) at The Edge Fieldhouse located at 9550 Ravenna Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087
    • Dates: November 7, 14, 28, December 5, 12, 19, 2023 and January 2, 9, 16, 23, 2024
    • Offerings: Faceoff (Boys), Goalie (Boys and Girls), Shooting / Dodging Sessions (Boys and Girls)

 

  • Tuesdays (6:00 to 9:00 PM) at N. Olmsted Rec Center located at 26,000 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
    • Dates: November 7, 14, 28, December 5, 12, 19, 2023 and January 9, 16, 23, 30, 2024
    • Offerings: Defense (Boys), Goalie (Boys and Girls), Shooting / Dodging Sessions (Boys and Girls)

 

  • Wednesdays (5:00 to 8:00 PM) at Pinnacle Sports Complex located at 313 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio 44256.

    • Dates: November 8, 15, 29, December 6, 13, 20, 2023 and January 3, 10, 17, 24, 2024
    • Offerings: Defense (Boys), Goalie (Boys and Girls), Shooting / Dodging Sessions (Boys and Girls)

 

Sample Session Plan:

  • Goalies - Attendance, Footwork, Hand Speed, Warm ups, Focus 1 (e.g. bounce shots), Focus 2 (e.g. off stick), goalie wars
  • FOGO - Attendance, Footwork Drills, Hand Speed Drills, 7 drills of standard to start, Focus 1 (e.g. def exits), live.
  • Shooting / Dodging - Attendance, Footwork, Stick Trick, Dodge 1 from X (walk then run through), Dodge 2 from X, Dodge 3 from X
  • Defense - Attendance, Footwork, Proper Technique (stopping them with your hips/feet not your stick), stick checks (lifts, pokes), and 1 v 1 skills.
