Skills Training For Defensemen
Our Defense Sessions are among our most popular programs. Each weekly, one-hour session focuses on individual defensive skills and specific concepts that players often receive limited coaching on during regular team practices.
Sessions are conducted in small groups of 10 players or fewer per coach, allowing for focused instruction and personalized feedback.
These sessions are open to all area players and operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
Our Defensive Players have received the following awards (2014 / 2024):
• 10 Ohio Position Player Of The Year
• 59 All Ohio,
• 9 All Americans • 6 Academic All Americans
• 2 Regional Player of the Year
• 17 Regional Pos POY
• 114 All Region
Our Defense Skills Sessions are led by Coach Tyree Sewell, a former standout defenseman at Lake Erie College (’18).
For the past four years, Coach Sewell has directed our defensive and defensive midfield training programs while working closely with all defensemen and D-mids across our travel teams. His leadership and attention to detail have helped elevate our players’ performance and understanding of the game.
