Administration & Logistics

  • Who  - 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026/27 teams
  • Dates - Saturday, July 6th and Sunday, July 7th
  • Location - Calvert Sports Park, MD. Located at 304 Brick Meetinghouse Rd, North East, MD 21901
  • Tournament Information 
    • Event Website
    • Fields: grass and field turf, so bring cleats and your preference for turf shoes or cleats.
    • The LAXFED Members Cup will be held July 6-7 at Calvert Regional Park in Cecil County, Maryland. This new event replaces the previously annual Mid-Atlantic Invitational. LAXFED Members Cup is designed to be the central, flagship event that brings our membership community together on an yearly basis. The mission of the Members Cup is to create ongoing and long-lasting memories and relationships between Lax Federation member clubs, players and their families.

 

2019 Waivers

  • All Players must complete the Capital Classic waiver - You can NOT play without the waiver.

Tournament Information

Rules

  • Games will be officiated under National HS Federation rules.
  • NO body checks and/or cross checking
  • Two 20-minute running time halves. Halftime is 5 minutes. (Time to be kept by officials on the field)
  • One timeout 1 minute in length per game per team
  • Keep it in for the team ahead in last 2 minutes.
  • Teams may only receive a horn when ball goes out on the sideline
  • Face-offs after each goal and the beginning of each half.
  • Penalties will be one minute for technical fouls and two minutes for personal fouls.
  • The penalty will begin on official's restart of play after penalty is called and player is in the penalty box.
  • Penalties are running time. The officials will keep all penalty time.
  • Any fighting or flagrant disrespect toward an official or any other person will result in expulsion for the remainder of the tournament. No Exceptions, No Refunds.
  • All games will stop IMMEDIATELY in the case of lightning and or thunder and players/spectators will be asked to seek shelter

  • Saturday July 6, 2019 (Example Only)
    • 8:00 am - Check-in at tournament
    • 9:00 am - Game 1 Field 9
    • 12:00 PM - Game 2 Field 8
    • 4:00 AM - Game 3 Field 6
  • Sunday July 7, 2019 (Example Only)
    • 9:00 am - Game 4 Field 9
    • 12:00 PM - Game 5 Field 8

 

2019 Check In / Check Out (Tournament)

  • Check-in will be from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Saturday July 6th.
  • Check-out will be after your last game on Sunday July  7th.
  • Only the BR Tournament Director will check-in and check-out.
    • Players DO NOT check In / Out at the Tournament HQ
    • Players and parents should find the BR Staff Director.
    • Plan on meeting us at the fields 45 minutes before your first game
  • We will email out specific instructions on where to meet as we get closer to the tournament

Lodging, Transportation & Meals

Lodging - (Parents and Players

  • There are no dorms included in your fees. All players and parents have to find their own housing. You are welcome to stay wherever you want.
  • The tournament sent me the following information that parents can book directly:

All Reservations need to be made by May 19, 2019.

Hotels No Show Policy: Failure to cancel or check in at the above hotel will result in a charge of your entire stay to be billed.

 

2019 What To Bring (Hotel and Fields)

  • For the room: toiletries.
  • For the field: game gear for five games; all equipment including but not limited to helmet, mouthpiece, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, sticks, cleats, turf shoes etc.
  • Water Bottles. Water will be provided on every field, but not water bottles.
  • Other: casual clothing for downtime & meals, etc.
  • Money: not too much, but enough for pizzas at night, drinks during the day, etc. from the camp store, which will be located on the fields.


2019 Transportation / Directions - There Is No Bus For This Tournament

  • Please note that there will be no team travel arrangements for this tournament. Therefore, players are responsible for their own transportation to and from the tournaments.
  • Any player needing a ride should contact coach Calleri immediately.  He will help arrange carpools.  Any player/parent willing to help out with carpooling should also contact coach Calleri so that he will know where we have room in cars.  Thank you for your understanding with this matter.

2019 Meals - You Must Bring Money For Food As Most But Not All Meals Are Included

  • The tournament DOES NOT provide any meals. The hotels normally have breakfast for the players included in the cost. All other meals are not built in to the trip.  Therefore, the kids need to bring money to pay for their meals.  Please plan accordingly.

 

  • Friday
    • Dinner - You are free to eat with your family and friends. There will be no team dinner.

    Saturday

    • Breakfast – you should eat at the hotel before coming to the tournament.
    • Lunch - We provide SUBWAY and concessions are available
    • Dinner - You are free to eat with your family and friends. There will be no team dinner.

    Sunday

    • Breakfast – you should eat at the hotel before coming to the tournament.
    • Lunch - We provide SUBWAY and concessions are available
    • Dinner - You are free to eat with your family and friends. There will be no team dinner.

    Concessions - There is a concession stand with hot dogs, sausage, chicken sandwiches and hamburger.

    Note: Please do not skip meals it will come back to haunt you during the games.
