2018 / 19 Winter Offerings
Winter Skills Sessions
Our B.E.S.T. sessions are back by popular demand. Starting in November and continuing until early February we will be holding weekly individual skills sessions. The sessions are tailored to specific topics and areas that normally get limited coaching (faceoff, shooting & dodging, defense, and goalies). The sessions will be in small groups (12 or less for faceoff, shooting & dodging, defense, and 4 for goalies). The sessions are open to all area players and a first come, first served basis.

Canadian Box League
Canadian Box Lacrosse is a fast paced, physical indoor game played 5 v 5 plus a goalie in a hockey rink. The boards are in play, the cages are smaller (4x4), the goalies are fully padded like hockey goalies, there is full substitution on the fly and a 30 second shot clock to ensure continuous fast paced play.

Advanced Skills / Travel Team Practice
We at Burning River have put together a multi day group and team concept skills camp. The camp is for players looking to improve their group and team concept skills and make the step up to the next level.
It is not for beginning players.
The instruction will be intense, in small groups (att, mid, def, goalies) and geared towards helping the attendees get ready to lead their teams in the coming year. The instruction will be given by some of the top area coaches and Burning River Lacrosse alumni who are playing in college. It will be based on the practices that some of the top college coaches in Division 1, 2, and 3 (e.g. Salisbury, Roanoke, NYIT, Syracuse, Maryland, Hobart) have helped us organize and have used themselves to guide their teams to the success they have had in the NCAA playoffs.

Supplemental Tryouts For Our Summer Travel Teams
- If you missed the August tryouts but still want to play please attend one of our supplemental dates.
- At these tryouts you will practice with our travel teams and be evaluated for a spot on either our Flex Team or Summer Travel Team.
- Flex team players do everything that the Travel Team players do (Box, Practice, Skills Sessions, etc) except that they are not guaranteed a spot at the summer tournaments. Flex team players can earn a spot at the summer tournaments with their play over the Fall / Winter.
